Simulation Models for Calculating Explosion Limits of Combustible Gas Mixtures. A survey of current knowledge of explosion limit simulation for combustible gas mixtures is given. These models are important for estimating safety risks during process development and plant engineering. Therefore theoretically based and empirical equations are applied. The main subject of this paper deals with the simulation of explosion limits of multicomponent combustible gas/inert gas/oxidant mixtures depending on gas composition and temperature. New developments providing an important basis for software development are presented. Missing determinations and application limits are discussed.
