Abstract Calculation of Crossflow Filtration. Crossflow filtration is the most widely used dynamic filtration process. The suspension to be filtered constantly flows over the filter medium. This counteracts formation of a filter cake and the height of the cake is limited. Reliable design of equipment still relies on the results of laboratory and pilot studies. Increasing use in practice has led to the development of approaches to the calculation of crossflow filtration which are reported in this article.
