Simulation of chemical reactions in turbulent flow. This article considers various methods for the simulation of turbulent reactive flow. The description of such flows by the statistical moments of the fluid‐dynamic and thermochemical variables is discussed at length. The modelling problems in the transport equations for the statistical moments are presented and various approaches are examined, especially for mid‐range turbulent reaction rates, and illustrated with the aid of examples by comparison of simulation with experimental results.
