Stirring of low‐ and medium‐viscosity media . Various mixer types are examined with regard to their suitability for homogenization by considering performance and mixing‐time characteristics. The studies extend from laminar to turbulent flow. Data concerning the effect of differences in density and viscosity are reported, as are the effects of various scale‐up rules on plant‐scale mixing times.
