Plastics in pipeline and plant construction . Stability calculations in the construction of plant with thermoplastics and glass‐fibre reinforced plastics are discussed, and the relevant stress characteristics, resistance factors, welding factors, and weakening and safety parameters are outlined. Possible ways of testing such equipment before commissioning of plant are described, and previous experience from practice is reported. The article concludes with a list of previously used standards and regulations.
