The etiology of pityriasis lichenoides (PL) is unknown. One of the accepted theories suggests that PL is a lymphoproliferative disease or inflammatory reaction triggered by an antigenic stimulus, such as a virus or other infectious agent. We report the case of a 13‐month‐old girl who developed PL et varioliformis acuta (PLEVA) 7 days after taking the vaccine against measles–rubella (MR), haemophilus influenzae b (Hib), and pneumococcus.
