A theoretical analysis of several hypothetical photoreactions initiated with circularly polarized light has been carried out to determine the factors influencing the enantiomeric excess of recovered reactant. The anistropic g value is the dominant influence, although quantum yields and F values may be important in certain cases. Chirality, 2006. © 2006 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
