Chiral ligand‐exchange chromatography has been shown to be effective in the resolution and semipreparative separation of 1‐aminoindan‐1,5‐dicarboxylic acid (AIDA) enantiomers. In functional activity experiments, only (S)‐AIDA was a potent and mGluR1 subtype selective antagonist. Chirality 16:314–317, 2004 . © 2004 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
