Diels‐Alder reaction of 2‐acryloyloxy‐2′‐(2‐pyridylazo)‐1,1′‐binaphthyl with cyclopentadiene in the presence of an equimolar amount of tin(IV) chloride showed unusual exo ‐selectivity with a high degree of diastereofacial differentiation. Chirality 14:727–730, 2002. © 2002 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
