Enabling high content silicon anodes for Li‐ion batteries has been a challenge for decades. In this Review on page 16275 ff., B. Rage and co‐workers highlight core‐shell structures as a potential solution. Covering the design, synthesis and resulting properties of silicon core‐shells as Li‐ion anodes, critical thinking and outlook is also given.
