The past few decades have seen the emergence of cascade reactions involving hydroalkoxylation of alkyne as a reliable method for the synthesis of various oxygen‐bearing complex scaffolds. In this context, reactions such as cycloaddition reaction, Prins cyclization, Michael addition reaction etc . have been successfully coupled with hydroalkoxylation for the rapid construction of these complex motifs. The review by S. K. Nanda and R. Mallikon page 15571 ff. provides an insight into these cascade reactions focusing on the developments in the last decade.
