The integration of Au and Cu 2− x S into a single nanoplatform offers several advantages that can be leveraged in emerging photothermal‐based applications. This Minireview presents a timely reference on the design and synthesis of Au−Cu 2− x S nanocomposites with tunable plasmon‐induced absorption features and light‐to‐heat conversion properties. A preview of their prospective use as photothermally responsive agents for cancer therapy and theranostics is also provided. For more information, see the Minireview by E. A. D. R. Hans and M. D. Regulacio on page 11030 ff.
