Dinuclear rhodium complexes are attractive candidates as homogeneous panchromatic photosensitizers and photocatalysts. Modification of the coordination sphere of the Rh 2 (II,II) compounds results in photophysical and redox properties that are highly desirable for electro‐ and photocatalysis. Optimization of the Rh 2 (II,II) catalysts is crucial to realize their future application in devices or systems designed for the production of fuels from sunlight.
