Naphtha was separated by using a easily attainable metal–organic framework, Co 3 (HCOO) 6 , through selective molecular exclusion of alkane isomers with different degrees of branching. The separation capability of the compound was evaluated by using naphtha mixtures with 180+ hydrocarbon components. Co 3 (HCOO) 6 exhibited efficient separation of the mixture and thus yielded products with high octane ratings and high dynamic capacity. More information can be found in the Communication by H.
