The challenge of “guiding” the molecular reactants in the reaction flask on the proper reaction path through the mountainous potential energy surface leading either to phosphetes or phospholes via phosphaallylic intermediates, which themselves may be trapped upon protonation, is depicted in the cover image. The design was composed by Zsolt Kelemen with contributions by Rudolf Pietschnig at the Universities of Budapest and Kassel. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Z. Kelemen, R. Pietschnig, et al. (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202101298).
