A nanocomposite Ba/Pt@Al 2 O 3 catalyst , showing abundant NO x storage property in spherical mesoporous Al 2 O 3 particles, can be rationally designed through one‐pot spray‐drying of a precursor solution containing Pt species and amphiphilic organic molecules followed by impregnation of Ba species after full crystallization of the Al 2 O 3 frameworks during calcination, which is applied for proposing a variety of cutting‐edge mesoporous catalysts based on synergetic catalytic effects at the nanometer scale.
