The discovery of new chemical species often reveals novel bonding modes, whose further development represents an urgent task on the interface between fundamental chemistry and materials science. This work reports the synthesis of a hexacoordinated antimony‐centered dication [(ppy) 3 Sb] 2+ and the determination of its solid‐state structure. The picture illustrates that [(ppy) 3 Sb] 2+ is unearthed from crystals of ‘stibnite’, which is a representative naturally occurring antimony ore.
