The characteristics and unique merits of organic–inorganic halide double perovskites (HDPs) and their diverse applications in the field of optoelectronics are presented in the Minireview by Zhihua Sun and co‐workers on page 16975. As exemplified by photovoltaic solar cells, their operating behaviors highly depend on the band gap feature of absorption layers, and thus, optical band gaps must be optimized. More theoretical and empirical investigations are needed to promote the overall performances of lead‐free HDPs, such as improving the thin‐film quality, doping, or heterovalent alloying for indirect‐to‐direct band gap conversion and optimizing conditions to suppress defects.
