Bone tissue disorders pose a life‐limiting and, sometimes, life‐threatening condition to millions of people worldwide. Even though there are already several treatments to manage bone disorders, only a few are fully curative. In this way, several efforts have been made to explore and develop novel and, hopefully, more efficient treatments. Within the recent advances in this area, the preparation of coordination compounds that are specifically designed to target and treat bone tissue disorders, thus being a very promising tool to tackle this worldwide are reviewed by J. S. Barbosa, J. Rocha, F. A. Almeida Paz et al. on page 15416 ff.
