Metallosupramolecular cages have been and continue to be of major interest in material science and nanotechnology for about three decades now. Having learned much about the assembly, properties, and functions of homometallic assemblies the development of heterometallic analogues is one of the obvious strategies to increase the structural and functional diversity of these fascinating (supra‐)molecular architectures.
