Guanine crystals are widely found in a variety of organisms for achieving diverse optical effects, including the silvery reflection from the tropical fish shown in the background. This work reports a synthetic method to fabricate guanine microplatelets with facile control in morphological and crystallographic characteristics. These bio‐inspired guanine crystals exhibit (100) exposing planes in β‐phase, similar to biological guanine crystals, which results in pearly lusters due to their high reflectivity when dispersed in water.
