This was definitely not a “Schnapsidee” (a German proverb that describes a bad idea during a convivial evening)! The simplest allene 1,3‐propadiene is employed in intermolecular hydroaminoalkylation reactions with secondary amines to give the corresponding allylamines in high regioselectivities. These compounds are not only highly attractive for subsequent functionalization, but are also formed catalytically by employing an earth‐abundant titanium catalyst! More information can be found in the Communication by R. Beckhaus, S. Doye, et al. on page 14300.
