Two previously unknown cerium(IV) phosphates , cerium(IV) hydroxidophosphate, Ce(OH)PO 4 , and cerium(IV) oxidophosphate, Ce 2 O(PO 4 ) 2 , have been discovered. These sister compounds with similar structures belong to a very limited family of ceric salts and complement the classes of isostructural M(OH)PO 4 and R 2 O(PO 4 ) 2 (M=Th, U and R=Th, U, Np, Zr). More information can be found in the Full Paper by V. K. Ivanov et al. on page 12188.
