The cover feature illustrates the mechanism of ATP detection by a new fluorescent receptor in aqueous solution. The receptor works like bellows: it exists in solution in a stacked form but opens only for binding of ATP. Moreover, the receptor represent an example of a ratiometric probe, which changes its color from yellow to blue upon ATP recognition. Test tubes in the picture display our efforts to separate the pyrene derivatives by column chromatography. More information can be found in the Full Paper by E. A. Kataev et al. on page 9991.
