Four eyes see more than two : Operando EPR, XANES/EXAFS, ATR‐IR, and UV/Vis spectroscopy have been coupled in the same experiment to complete the mechanistic puzzle in selective aerobic alcohol oxidation by a copper‐TEMPO catalyst. The reaction is driven by a single Cu I /Cu II redox cycle that activates O 2 with the help of TEMPO. Dimeric Cu II –Cu II species have no catalytic impact since they dissolve in the early stage of the reaction without activity loss. More information can be found in the Full Paper by J. Rabeah, V.
