Introducing transition‐metal elements into frustrated Lewis pairs has emerged as a promising approach to develop new cooperative catalysts. Based on the heterolytic splitting of H 2 by Au I /Pt 0 combinations, this work reports the first system for which genuine bimetallic frustration has been demonstrated. This joint experimental/computational effort evinces the importance of balancing the degree of frustration versus M⋅⋅⋅M interaction to enhance small‐molecule activation.
