Interface modulation , a strategy for tuning the performance of catalysts, has attracted much attention in the field of water electrolysis in recent years. An overview of the progress and achievements made in this area is provided herein, and the synthetic methodologies and underlying performance improvement mechanisms are highlighted. For more details, see the Minireview by Z. D. Wei and co‐workers on page 9799 ff.
