Nanoscale machines have inspired the search for molecular grippers, and the effort has been expedited by the development of redox‐active, quinone‐based resorcin[4]arene cavitands. The article describes the breakthroughs in the design and control of resorcin[4]arenes by electronic and electromagnetic stimuli using various electroanalytical, spectroscopic, and spectroelectrochemical methods. More details can be found in the Concept article by F. Diederich and J. V. Milić on page 8440 ff.
