A new atomic layer deposition (ALD) approach for the conformal thin‐film coating of the metal pyrite compounds, including FeS 2 , CoS 2 , and NiS 2 , is introduced in detail. This ALD synthesis approach is believed to enable many new fundamental studies and applications of the metal pyrite materials. For more details, see the Concept article by X.
