Photoelectrochemical bioanalysis is a burgeoning technique with high sensitivity, which has been widely applied in clinical diagnosis, gene therapy and environmental monitoring. With the emerging of various photoactive nanomaterials (e.g., QDs, g‐C 3 N 4 , metal oxides, metal sulfides and TMD), more sophisticated semiconductor nanomaterial‐based photoelectrochemical biosensors have been constructed for monitoring a variety of analytes. The most recent advances in this field are summarized in the Review article by H. Pang et al. on page 14010 ff.
