There is currently substantial interest in understanding and achieving control over physicochemical manipulation of liquid metals (LMs). In fact, the manipulation of LMs makes them great enabling tools in the study of soft robotics and biotechnologies. The “doll” depicts personified LM that is dynamically manipulated by “strings with hand” (thermal, electrical and magnetic energy, and chemical and biochemical reactions). The drawing is only a graphic presentation and does not represent the precise way of LM manipulation. For more information, see the Minireview by Y. Yu and E. Miyako on page 9456 ff.
