The first silicon(IV) corrole complexes were successfully obtained by treatment of meso‐triarylcorroles with tetrachlorosilane in the presence of diisopropylethylamine in dichloroethane under heating. The central silicon atom possesses a square‐pyramidal coordination geometry, being deviated from the corrole plane. The μ‐oxo‐bridged dimer of silicon(IV) corrole has also been obtained and optical properties of both monomer and dimer have been comprehensively studied. For more details see the Full Paper by T.
