Responsive nanomaterials can be contructed by bottom‐up self‐assembly of nanoparticles mediated by supramolecular host–guest interactions. Since these interactions are rather weak, the nanomaterials are inherently dynamic and respond readily even to subtle changes in their environment. For more details, see the Concepts article by B. J.
