A lithium‐oxygen battery based on DEMETFSI‐LiTFSI ionic liquid electrolyte and new configuration of electrode materials has remarkably low OER average potential. The employment of a lithium‐tin alloyed anode, and a self‐standing carbon composite as the cathode support, leads to a full Li‐ion oxygen cell showing extremely limited polarization, and remarkable energy efficiency.
