Cation‐binding catalysis using Song's chiral OligoEG catalyst enables, for the first time, a highly enantioselective aminal formation reaction from aliphatic α‐amido sulfones as in‐situ equivalents of imines with potassium phthalimides. Derivatization of enantioenriched aminals were also realized, showing the unprecedented application potential of the enantiopure aminals in asymmetric syntheses of natural products and biologically active molecules.
