A robust lead‐mediated synthetic procedure for the phthalocyanines substituted with electron‐withdrawing groups (EWGs) is reported. The Pc palladium complex shows high singlet oxygen generation by irradiation of red‐light. Moreover, the Pc is extremely photostable. The artwork displays the features of Pc in a “Ukiyoe” style (traditional Japanese painting). The man at the center (phthalocyanine) guards an attack of singlet oxygen with the EWG structure (like a sword) in his hand under the sunset (red sky).
