Bifacial tin aromatics : The first stable tin‐containing benzene derivative, stannabenzenyl anion, was successfully isolated as a monomer both in solution and in the solid state by the reaction of the equilibrated mixture of a monomeric stannabenzene and its dimer with potassium graphite. The results of the X‐ray crystallographic analysis, NMR and UV/Vis spectroscopic measurements, and theoretical calculations indicated that the stannabenzenyl anion shows the contribution of stannylene character, while it has an aromatic character. In addition, several reactions of the stannabenzenyl anion were performed to reveal its unique reactivity. More information can be found in the Full Paper by N. Tokitoh, Y. Mizuhata, and S. Fujimori on page 17039.
