Positive phosphine : A Tf 2 O/DMAP‐promoted formal [3+2] cycloaddition of secondary diarylphosphine oxides and internal alkynes under metal‐free conditions that directly leads to fluorescent benzophosphole derivatives has been developed. This cover image depicts a representative reaction occurring efficiently through cationic phosphorous intermediates as in a successful pinball game.
