The combination of a redox‐active mesogenic anion with mixed‐valent thiolato‐based ligands with alkyl‐substituted ammonium cations afforded a series of four ionic Ni complexes. Crystalline, smectic liquid crystalline, and amorphous phases are formed, depending on the type of alkyl chains within the cations. Well‐defined cyclic voltammetric responses, derived from ligand‐based oxidation and reduction, were observed in solution and the condensed phases, demonstrating the tunability of the redox‐activity of the ionic molecular assemblies.
