Invited for the cover of this issue is the group of Michael Ruck at the Technical University in Dresden. The image depicts the intermetalloid cluster (CuBi 8 ) 3+ , which features a hitherto unknown bonding mode between bismuth and copper, and crystallizes as an adduct with an [AlCl 4 ] − ion of the applied ionic liquid.
