Adamantylidene (Ad) additions to endofullerenes M 3 N@ I h ‐C 80 (M=Sc, Lu) and Sc 3 N@ D 5h ‐C 80 are described. Notably, two Ad added bis‐adducts of Lu 3 N@ I h ‐C 80 were obtained, of which the structure of one isomer was determined by X‐ray crystallography. The experiments showed that the second Ad addition took place at a position close to an internal Lu atom, thus indicating that the regiochemistry of exohedral additions is influenced by the encaged cluster.
