Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) was employed to monitor the formation of a halogen bond (XB) complex between a novel nitroxide probe containing a XB donor unit and several XB acceptors. The proposed procedure constitutes the first direct EPR methodology providing a reliable determination of the strength of XB in solution. More information can be found in the Communication by M. Lucarini et al. on page 16017 ff.
