Encapsulation of an emissive metal complex within a self‐assembled molecular capsule has been achieved. Multiple cation–π interactions between a cationic Ir III complex and a hydrogen‐bonded capsule afforded a thermodynamically stable host–guest complex, leading to a significant enhancement of the photophysical properties of the emissive Ir III complex.
