Sulfur and nitrogen codoped carbon tubes have a high electrocatalytic performance for both the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in acidic media, which is due to the synergetic effect of sulfur and nitrogen dopants. This bifunctional metal‐free electrocatalyst for ORR and HER can accelerate the ORR to produce water in proton exchange membrane fuel cells and the HER to split water in electrolytic cells concurrently.
