Dendronized pillar[5]arene derivatives adopt disc‐shaped conformations perfectly suited for the self‐organization into columnar liquid‐crystalline phases. Interestingly, the formation of columnar assemblies occurs not only in the presence of a guest molecule, but also without a guest molecule, despite the generated free volume. As a result, nanotubular wires encased within a shell of peripheral dendrons are thus self‐assembled. More information can be found in the Communication by J. Barberá, R. Deschenaux, J.‐F. Nierengarten et al. on page 6185 ff.
