Gold atoms dispersed on multiwalled carbon nanotubes have been successfully utilized in the heterogeneous hydrogenation of 1,3‐butadiene or 1‐butyne with parahydrogen, as reported by K. V. Kovtunov et al. in their Communication on page 7012 ff. The estimated contributions of the pairwise hydrogen addition route, and therefore the achieved NMR signal enhancement levels, are at least an order of magnitude higher than those obtained with supported metal nanoparticles.
