A horizon for hierarchical Al‐rich zeolites Uniform intracrystalline mesoporosity is created in Al‐rich MFI zeolites by a sequential fluorination‐alkaline treatment protocol. The promotional effects of antecedent fluorination step lie in the formation of F‐bearing tetrahedral Al species, which alleviates the resistance of Al sites to alkaline medium and causes a regulated hydrolysis during the alkaline treatment process. The derived understandings and concepts will contribute to the construction of hierarchical porosities in the industrial‐relevant Al‐rich zeolites. For more details, see the Full Paper by S.
