A true 5,10,15,20‐tetraaryl‐21‐carbaporphyrin complex in which four trigonal donor atoms are involved in equatorial coordination was prepared for the first time. In their Full Paper on page 1376 ff. , L. Latos‐Grażyński and co‐workers describe the remarkable and facile transformation of p ‐benziporphyrin into gold(III) 21‐carbaporphyrin, as mediated by a simple gold(III) salt.
