Targeted delivery carriers : Magnetic protein microcapsules (MPMCs) as drug carriers for targeted delivery were fabricated by a facile and fast sonochemical method. MPMCs possessed excellent magnetic responsivity and could be readily moved and collected in an external magnetic field due to embedding of Fe 3 O 4 MNPs in the protein shell (see figure).
