Soak it up : A boron‐imidazolate metal–organic framework composed of a mixed ligand system acts as a precursor for the synthesis of a high‐surface‐area borocarbonitride (BC 4 N) with remarkable H 2 and CO 2 storage properties (see figure; ndc=naphthalenedicarboxylate). Furthermore, BC 4 N has been exploited for the stabilisation of metal (Au and Pd) nanoparticles.
